The ISCAAS lab undertakes cutting edge research projects related to embedded and cyber-physical systems, secure and trustworthy systems, intelligent systems, computer architecture, parallel computing, distributed computing, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) safety and security. The research projects in the ISCAAS lab target practical applications. The ISCAAS mission is to produce excellent researchers and successful professionals for both academia and industry.

Projects

The ISCAAS lab is currently undertaking the following projects:

  • Design and tuning of parallel and reconfigurable architectures
  • Design of secure and trustworthy systems
  • Design of secure and dependable automotive cyber-physical systems
  • Integrated fog, cloud, and Internet of things architectures
  • Models and frameworks for adversarial attacks on intelligent systems and complex adaptive systems
  • Development of plastic artificial neural networks-based lifelong learning machines
  • Position Openings

The ISCAAS lab has openings for Graduate Research Assistants in the following areas: computer architecture, hardware-based security, and AI safety and security. Prospective candidates should be Ph.D. students who have done their Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Students with publications in IEEE/ACM/Elsevier journals or IEEE/ACM conferences are encouraged to apply. Please send your CV and related publications to amunir@ksu.edu.
